ESPN reported this morning that running back Ahmad Bradshaw was going to be visiting with the Colts today. With the fumbling problems that rookie Josh Robinson has shown and with Frank Gore not being nearly as effective as once thought, this move would make sense. I’m not saying that Bradshaw will come in and take carries away from Gore, but would be a better change of pace back than Robinson has been through the first four games.
Ahmad Bradshaw was amazing for the Colts last season tallying up over 700 all-purpose yards and 8 touchdowns before going down with yet another season-ending injury. If Bradshaw is ready go then it would make sense for the Colts to sign him since they just released Josh Johnson from the 53-man roster. Of course, Bradshaw will have to serve a one game suspension for his marijuana arrest this past summer, but that can be taken care of this week when the Colts face the Texans.
Bringing in Bradshaw could be the shot in the arm that this team needs. Look at it this way, it can’t get worse by bringing him in. Make the move Grigson.
