Sad news to report on the loss on former Colts running back, Zurlon Tipton. Police reports indicated that Zurlon accidentally shot himself as gun inside a duffle bag that he was carrying accidentally went off as the bag fell off his car. Tipton played in 16 games for the Colts over two seasons. The running back played his college football at Central Michigan near his hometown of Detroit Michigan. His tenure in Indy resulted in 38 yards and 15 carries, but that is not the important part of this story. Tipton was well liked by his teammates and many took to Twitter to remember him.

As you can see very real and raw emotions from the Colts family. Zurlon Tipton had some issues with the law but he was loved by many and by all accounts a good teammate and person. All of us have flaws, and the biggest takeaway I have is life is short and there is a thin line between life and death. I’m sure Zurlon never imagined that his short time on this earth would end in a manner like this. Thanks for the memories and the enjoyment you provided me while being a member of the Colts!
